In 2014, when I drove a prototype around Munich, it literally stopped everybody in its tracks: everybody turned around and took a picture.
5 years later people still stoped and asked me: "oh, is this a prototype? When will it be on sale?"

I was invited to present the design of the BMW i8 at its market launch, for instance in Los Angeles and Singapore.

"I started at BMW in 2005. My first design competition was for the BMW 5GT (F07). Then came the 5 series (F10) program, in which I directed my first full scale clay model. Another full scale clay model came with the X1 (E84)."

"It was 2007, when I pitched a design for the new BMW 1/ 2 series (F20, 21, 22, 23).
For me it was important to feel the rear wheel drive concept, because that was the USP of the car.
So I emphasized the premium proportions of the interior: with a low, floating instrument panel and a high, wide tunnel."

"My last project as a interior design project leader was the BMW X5 (G65). This project was a huge step in the history of BMW interiors: clean gapless surfaces, integration of the panoramic head up display and a topology, that celebrates the command seating position.
The design team was very divers, with colleagues of Designworks LA and Shanghai contributing."

"The interior design of the BMW X3 explored new innovative solutions in the cabin, like the vertical air outlets in the doors, which are actually part of the instrument panel. The back lit glas trim pieces took lots of iterations in order to achieve this technical precise glas cut effect."

"I'm especially proud of one achievement of the interior of the 2 Active Tourer: it's the perceived quality of the cabin. In this very cost sensitive segment we discussed every single aspect of the execution with high ranking management. The result speaks for itself, not only in the 2 Active Tourer, but also in the X1, where it is carried over in large parts."
"What makes this interior special is the floating arm rest on the tunnel and the air vent configuration, where the passender has his 2 vents in front of him, creating a very elegant air outlet."

"In 2023 I took over a new role as project manager for the UI design of the Panoramic iDrive. In this role I'm responsible for the passenger entertainment screens for codriver and rear seats. Furthermore I coordinate the key account of the China specific UI, which we create in collaboration with the Designworks Studio in Shanghai."
